Izem Expat is an independent brokerage founded in Paris in 2025 by Mustapha Naït Cherif. We do not sell our own policies: we compare those of the leading international health insurance companies and support you before, during and after you subscribe.

Mustapha lived for several years in South-East Asia and has worked in international insurance for ten years. He has seen up close what happens when cover is poorly chosen: the hospital bill nobody had planned for, the visa refused for lack of a compliant certificate, the local policy that ends with the employment contract.
He created Izem Expat to do what an online comparison site does not: read the policy wording on your behalf, ask the questions you did not know you needed to ask, and stay reachable once you are there.

No exclusivity
We are tied to no insurer, neither by capital nor by contract. We select from the market’s leading insurers, and we tell you which ones we rule out, and why.
Analysis before an offer
Destination, status, family composition, medical history, budget: we start from your situation, not a catalogue. The exact quote follows within 24 hours.
Paid by the insurer, not by you
Our advice costs you nothing: the insurer we place you with pays us a commission, the same regardless of the policy, which leaves us free to recommend the right one.
There after you sign
A claim, a renewal, a change of country or situation: you keep the same point of contact, in French, whatever the time zone.

The guides, destination pages and articles on this site are written and reviewed by Mustapha Naït Cherif. Figures (cost of care, caps, waiting periods) are drawn from insurers’ policy wordings, official public sources, or anonymised client files; each page states the date it was last reviewed.
We correct any error reported to us and date the correction. No content is sponsored by an insurer, and no page is written to promote any one company.

Izem Assurances is registered on the register of insurance intermediaries under ORIAS number 25002362 as a broker (COA), verifiable on the public register. The firm is supervised by the ACPR and covered by professional indemnity insurance taken out with AIG Europe SA, in accordance with articles L 512-6 and L 512-7 of the French Insurance Code. We never collect premiums: you pay the insurer directly. If a dispute is not resolved, you may refer it free of charge to La Médiation de l’Assurance.
